Snowflaking to My IRA
I got a check in the mail yesterday that was a distribution resulting from an SEC administrative proceeding for a fund that some of my IRA money is in. In other words, some fund that I have invested in got their hand slapped by the SEC for god-knows-what infraction and so they have to make a payout to their investors. Whatever. I'll take it. I'd rather put it in my e-fund, but because it's linked to my rollover IRA account and I don't want to deal with any tax consequences (even though the amount of the check is very small), I'm depositing it directly back in the same IRA account. So, $15.98 goes to my retirement fund. Whoo-hoo!
